About Baggage Allowance Checker

We built the baggage reference we always wanted as passengers: one database of airline baggage policies, taken only from official sources, with tools that answer the question you actually have — "can I take this bag, on this fare?"

What we do

We track the cabin and checked baggage policies of 64 airlines — fare brand by fare brand — and turn them into plain-English guides, a fare-level checker, a cabin-bag fit tool, side-by-side comparisons and route guides for the corridors where allowances cause the most confusion.

We are an independent guide and are not affiliated with any airline. We never invent reviews, ratings or figures: if it is not on the airline's official page, it is not here. Read our verification method.

Why this site exists

Ask three baggage websites the same question and you will often get three different answers, because most of them copy each other and none of them tell you when the number was last checked. Meanwhile the real answer is getting harder to find: airlines have split their cabins into fare brands, quietly removed included bags from the cheapest tickets, and moved the actual numbers behind booking flows and calculators. The result is predictable — travellers discover their real allowance at the check-in desk, where fixing it costs the most.

Baggage Allowance Checker is the reference we wanted as passengers: one database, official sources only, a checked date on everything, and tools that answer the question you actually have — not "what is the policy?" but "can I take this bag, on this fare?" If a figure is missing here, it is missing because the airline does not publish it — and we would rather show a gap than a guess.

What is covered

The database covers 64 airlines across Europe, the Gulf, South and South-East Asia, North America and Oceania — the carriers behind the large majority of baggage searches — with the top 25 by demand getting separate deep-dives on cabin baggage, checked baggage and excess fees. Coverage grows by demand: airlines are added when travellers search for them, and every addition goes through the same official-source verification as the launch set.
