The short verdict
By cabin volume and weight the two are closely matched — the real difference is in the fare tables below.
Both airlines count baggage differently across fares, so compare the checked tables before you book the cheaper ticket: a fare with no bag included can end up costing more.
TUI Airways checked baggage by fare
| Fare / class | Checked baggage allowance |
|---|---|
| Package holiday (standard) | 20 kg per person included |
| Package: TUI BLUE / Sensatori / Holiday Village / TUI River Cruise / wedding packages | 25 kg per person included |
| Premium (long-haul upgrade) | 25 kg checked + 10 kg hand luggage |
| Marella Cruises | 20 kg per person included |
| Flight only | No checked bag included; add 15 kg, 20 kg or 25 kg for a charge (prices from GBP 40 for 15 kg both ways, per TUI travel-options page) |
Allowances can be pooled with others on same booking, but no single bag over 25 kg. Package extra: add 5 kg or 10 kg, prices from GBP 18 for extra 5 kg both ways.
